Kalmeer Game Reserve & Boutique Accommodation offers guests a unique and unforgettable experience at a serene and idyllic game watching location that will give you a taste of what Africa has to offer.

Kalmeer is conveniently located on the Cape-Namibia route, is only 40km from Cape Town centre and is an excellent choice to stay over before your trip departure, or after your return.

Nestled away in a Rooikrantz Tree haven, the reserve is home to a variety of wildlife species including several antelope, zebra, giraffe and black wildebeest. The smaller creatures like Mongoose, Bat Eared Fox and Caracal may also be spotted along with a host of bird species.

We have only 3 sought after units, each with its own unique features, tastefully decorated living spaces and luxurious furniture.

Our bush chalet, honeymoon-suite and glamping boutique tent feature their own private entrance, wood-fired hot-tub, fully equipped kitchen, and a pristine view of the waterhole. On your patio you have front row seats to exotic creatures roaming a few meters away at feeding time.

During the heat of the day, they rest in the shade of the trees.

Due to our small volume, you are guaranteed to experience peace, quiet and privacy.

Check-in is allowed from 14.30, but we strongly encourage you to be here before 16.30pm so you do not miss out on the feeding experience.
